Dr. Helmer is a California native, with a passion for comprehensive women’s healthcare. She knew from a young age she wanted to care for women in all walks of life. She attended California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA, where she received her BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then attended medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where she fell in love with the state. She completed her training at St. Anthony Hospital OBGYN Residency program in Oklahoma City, OK where she served as chief resident. Dr. Helmer completed board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2026.
Dr. Helmer gave birth to her daughter while in residency training. This opened her eyes to the physical and emotional obstacles many women face postpartum. Dr. Helmer is dedicated to providing thoughtful, collaborative care for all of her patients.
During her free time, Dr. Helmer enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, exploring new restaurants, binge-watching the newest series, and traveling to new places.
